Location: About 1 km from Ximending, in the Wanhua District, near two green line MRT stations (Ximen station and Xiaonanmen station) and close to Xiaonanmen bus station.

Halal Shelf
The supermarket has a dedicated halal shelf that was stacked with a variety of halal products. The halal shelf is located on the same isle with imported products shelves from the USA, UK, Italy, Turkey and many other European countries.


Most of the products on this shelf has a halal logo of halal certification authorities of Malaysia (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia or JAKIM), Indonesia (Indonesia Ulema Council or MUI) and Thailand (The Central Islamic Committee of Thailand or CICOT).
The halal shelf includes many products with a halal logo, such as cup instant noodles (of Super Cup brand), instant noodles, instant coffees, pastes, chilli sauces and soy sauces, dry herbs, potato and tapioca chips, coconut milk, and instant crackers. Many of the products are instant noodles and instant pastes for Asian cooking, including pastes for fried rice, tomyam soup and curry (for example, Pocket Chef brand from Thailand), instant seasoning mix (Indofood brand), or instant pack for making mango sticky rice (the packet includes the rice).
Packed Food and Beverages Products
Foods with a halal logo available at this supermarket includes the Korean instant noodle (Samyang brand), packed coffee (for example, Oldtown Malaysian coffee brand that has halal logo of JAKIM), packed cereal drinks of Green Max brand that has a halal logo of the Taiwan Halal Integrity Development Association (THIDA) and of Milo and Coco Crunch brand by Nestle that has JAKIM’s halal logo as well as barbeque sauce that has the halal logo of THIDA (Bullhead brand).
Snacks and Biscuits
Some snacks and biscuits has a halal logo of either JAKIM (Julie’s brand) or the halal logo of the Taichung Mosque. The majority of other biscuit brands did not have the halal logo.
Condensed milk, bottled honey and packed granular sugar
At least two Taiwanese brand of condensed milk had a halal logo, one of THIDA (Swallow brand), the other one (Nicego brand) of the Taipei Grand Mosque Foundation. None of the honey or granulated sugar products on the display in this supermarket had any halal logo.
Traditional Taiwan Food Shelf/Products
We found only two brands of traditional Taiwanese sweets that carried the halal logo of THIDA (Mochi with Yuki brand and Shuen Chi Mochi Roll).
Dairies and other rapidly perishable products
Within the dairy isle, we found only one brand of milk in tetra pack that has the halal logo from MUI (Nestle brand), which is stamped at the back of the pack.
Many of imported cheese brands has halal logos of the respective authorities of the countries of origin, mainly from Australia and New Zealand (for example, some cheese products of Chesdale brand and butter of Anchor brand) and Europe (for example, some dairy products with Emborg brand).


In the drinks and juice section, none of the drinks had halal logo, although there are many 100% juice drinks available on the shelf, which are permissible for Muslim consumers’ consumption. There was no halal logo on products in the bread section.
Frozen Food Section
In the frozen section, at least one brand of paratha that carried the halal Singapore logo (Roti Paratha brand), while one brand of Taiwanese pancake has a THIDA logo (Ponto brand). The location of items with a halal logo was not segregated with other non-halal frozen products.
Personal Care Products
None of the products in the personal care isles had halal logo. The toothpaste products of Colgate brand did not have the halal logo on the box package, but instead, they are printed on the squeeze containers. One toothpaste product for kids by Darlie has a halal logo stamp of JAKIM.
